Asbestoseal Roof Coating Project June 2025
Completed in June 2025 by Liquasil Approved Installers, Orchard Cladding Specialists of Essex, this 1700 sq metre asbestos roof was generally soiled, with numerous defects noted.
The entire roof surface was cleaned using closed box pressure washing equipment and allowed to dry thoroughly.
All of the GRP roof lights were replaced, since these are often a major source of water ingress.
The metal fixings were treated with Liquasil SWT Primer to prevent rust-breakthrough and once this was dry, sealed with Liquasil Non-Sag Sealer, a unique silicone compund that is liberally applied by brush to create a permanent seal around the fixing.
Some of the roof sheets were badly affected by surface delamination and these were over-sheeted with GRP equivalents made to the same profile as the existing sheets.
Small cracks were filled using Non-Sag Sealer.
Once all of the repairs were complete, all of the roof sheets were coated with Abestoseal to provide a long-lasting protective finish to the roof.
The Asbestoseal system is covered by a 25 year product warranty as standard when installed by a Liquasil Approved installer.
