This project involved recoating a 3,000sq metre roof in Uddington, Scotland.
The open-specification called for a protective coating to be applied to the existing steel roof and Liquasil Lite was chosen by the contractor, Specialist Cladding Services Ltd of Glasgow due to its durability and low cost.
This was the first time that Liquasil Lite had been used by the contractor and whilst Liquasil provided technical product assistance remotely, no site inspections were necessary due to the experience of the contractor in using coatings and the fact that the Liquasil Lite system is so easy to apply.
The Liquasil Lite system uses a dedicated single-pack cut edge corrosion primer, but in this case, the cut edges were prepared and treated with our SWT Primer, the same used in our BBA Approved Metalseal system.
Once the cut edges were primed, the roof was coated with the Liquasil Lite top coat in Goosewing Grey.
The contractor commented at the end of the project that Liquasil Lite was easy to install and the finish of the project exceeded their expectations.
