This was an early Liquasil project that we are featuring because after suffering many years of problems with this particular property, the landlord has reported no further issues since the gutter was lined with Liquasil’s liquid gutter liner, Gutterseal in 2019.
This was a particularly complex installation that involved removing all existing lead flashings, rebuilding some areas of the parapet wall, re-bedding the coping stones and bringing the liquid liner up and beyond a tiled roof line, as well as the entire parapet wall interior.
The installation is above a row of shops, where the first floor contains residential flats. The gutter changes level several times around the perimeter of the building, with a series of outlets incorporated into weirs.
Liquasil’s liquid gutter liner was specified by the contract administrator due to its flexibility, making it less vulnerable to temperature fluctuations.
The project was completed by Liquasil’s first appointed approved installer, DJA Contracts Ltd and since installation, has not presented any further problems.
Gutterseal comprises three products:
- SWT Primer – for priming steel substrates and metal fixings
- Non-Sag Sealer – for waterproofing joints and repairing small holes
- Liquasil One – to create a seamless finish throughout the gutter
