Metal Roof Coating and Cladding Paint

This was a project to repaint all vertical cladding, including the internal parapets and to coat the metal roof.

The existing finishes to the metal roof areas were affected by loss of coating, cut edge corrosion and spot corrosion throughout.

All corrosion was treated using Liquasil SWT Primer to provide long term protection against further rusting before being over-coated with our metal roof coating, Metalseal.

The roof surface was stripped back to the galvanised surface by use of high pressure washing, followed by a treatment of T-Wash solution to improve adhesion.

A single coat of Metalseal SF was applied to the entire roof surface using brush and rollers. Metalseal SF is our solvent-free version of Metalseal designed for this type of application.

The vertical cladding was repainted using Cladcoat. This is our budget friendly cladding paint that can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray with ease.

Metalseal can only be purchased for installation by a trained Liquasil installer.

Cladcoat is a water-based acrylic formulation with fantastic opacity. In some cases, coverage can be achieved in a single coat, but for covering darker colours, we recommend building up film thickness in 2 or 3 coats, though this is dependent upon the condition of the substrate.

Metalseal can only be purchased for installation by a trained Liquasil installer.

The roof works in this example were completed by Tritec Building Contractors Ltd of Canvey Island who have been installing Liquasil products since 2013.
